Dimensions of Wellness, health and wellness, dimensions of wellbeing – you’ve heard it all. Every senior living community seems to have something similar that lives on paper. But what does that mean? How is it brought to life?

Now, more than ever, an intentional focus on the whole person is vital to ensuring wellness. At Wickshire, we focus on 4 dimensions of wellness to make up the whole person: Physical, Emotional, Social and Spiritual. Wise & Well Plus combines the 4 dimensions of wellness with programming and clinical efforts to ensure that all people involved in the wellness needs of residents are focused on the whole person. This program calls attention to making intentional efforts each day to bettering the wellness of residents by answering the following questions:
– Does this help people achieve their full potential?
– Does this recognize and address the whole person?
– Does this affirm and mobilize people’s positive qualities and strengths?

Programs, actions and activities are tracked using Wickshire’s EMAR system, Point Click Care. At the end of each week, leadership reviews the achievements of residents to ensure that all residents were (1) provided opportunities to achieve goals in each dimension and (2) made an effort to have all dimensions addressed.

If you are looking for a senior living community, ask how their wellness model extends past the paper it’s written on and is brought to life.

At Wickshire, it fulfills our mission to make life better.
