Flu and COVID-19 Prevention Efforts

Important Information From Our COO

At Wickshire, the safety and health of our residents and associates is our top priority. The spread of COVID-19 around the world is of significant public concern, and we have implemented new policies and procedures to best reduce the risk to our communities.

To date, Wickshire Senior Living has been following recommendations and guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Department of Health to mitigate the spread of the flu and COVID-19.

Wickshire believes in, and practices open and transparent communication with associates, residents, family members and visitors which strengthens our relationships and brings to life our mission. A few prevention best practices that we have identified include:

  • Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
  • Avoid contact with people exhibiting symptoms
  • When soap and water are not available, use hand sanitizer that contains alcohol
  • Don’t touch your eyes, nose or mouth with unclean hands
  • Don’t eat raw food – thoroughly cook meat and eggs

How We Protect the Wickshire Family

Protecting the health and safety of our residents is Wickshire Senior Living’s highest priority. We invite you to interact with us via our community Facebook pages and to be on the lookout for information that you may find helpful during this time.

We will continue to monitor the spread of communicable viruses closely, follow preventative guidelines from the Department of Health and Center for Disease Control and provide updates as applicable.
